We are FEDEMAC, the European Movers Federation, established in 1959 and headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. Our Governing Members are the National Associations of the European moving industry, but the FEDEMAC family includes thebest players and suppliers in the moving industry. In total we represent the interests of more than 1.600 professional moving companies in more than 27 European countries.

We achieve our tasks through Exclusive Events, Information Service and our Quality Program. These services provide our members with the tools they need to achieve their commercial and legislative goals. For the past 60 years we have an outstanding record of success in influencing the law-makers and authorities both in the Europe and worldwide.

Our Team

The FEDEMAC Board of Directors is dedicated to protecting the interests of moving companies by maintaining industry standards, assisting consumers, fostering innovation and lobbying national and regional government authorities. As the voiceof European moving, we bring decades of industry experience to this mission.


The European Union and the United Kingdom has grown to 28 countries, representing over 500 million citizens. The growing legislative powers provided to PhotoPhotoPhotoPhotoPhotothe European Parliament have only increased the need for the moving industry to be represented at a government level.In order to achieve this influence, FEDEMAC publishes regularly Positions Papers on legislation that will have an impact on its industry. FEDEMAC’s Position Papers not only outline concerns that our industry may have but also establishes possible solutions. Our goal is to show the impact that legislation can have on our members.
