Apps Further Delay Military Contract

November 2, 2023

Implementation of the global household goods contract for military members and their families has hit yet another snag as U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) and HomeSafe Alliance try to resolve technical issues with their respective apps.

Military.com reported that the first shipments managed by HomeSafe Alliance, originally planned for September, are yet to be scheduled as the party’s struggle with the interface between HomeSafe’s “Connect” digital interface and TRANSCOM’s MilMove platform.

HomeSafe have said the Connect app would allow military families to schedule each aspect of their move, track their inventory, and receive customer support. They remain committed to begin test shipments in 2023.
